SITE was recently commissioned by the City of Swan to undertake a feasibility study, stakeholder engagement and development of a detailed concept design for a Youth Centre for one of WA’s fasted growing communities Ellenbrook. SITE Director Paul Edwards, element Director Cath Blake-Powell and Community & Stakeholder Engagement Consultant Liz Pope facilitated a series of workshops with the City, key Youth and Community Stakeholders in developing a functional brief and vision for the project. Grandis Park Sports Pavilion in Banksia Grove was officially opened along with the adjacent Banksia Grove Skate Park by City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts JP and Counsellors on Saturday 27th of October 2018. Grandis Park Sports Pavilion includes much-needed change rooms, function hall, kiosk, kitchen, storage, first aid room, and universal access toilet. SITE was engaged for phase one the project to present a concept design and development plan to the City of Wanneroo. The opening knowledged the school’s history with 1961 School Caption Warren Lilleyman handing Education Minister Sue Ellery the original scissors used to cut the ribbon at the school opening in 1961 in Wembley Downs.
