SITE was the lead consultant for Prada Australia to undertake the base building works to the corner site for Prada Store located on the corner of King and Hay St and Miu Miu located further up King Street.
SITE was the local architect representing Prada in negotiations with authorities, contractors, and other interested parties. SITE carried out documentation of the external building fabric (base build – conversion of existing two storey shophouse) and the internal building envelope which included checking and reviewing design by Prada’s Italian based architect Studio Baciocchi for compliance with local laws and building codes and coordination with Prada’s architects with regard to interior fit-out details.
As part of the role as the local architect SITE also liaised with the City of Perth with managing approvals including preparation of drawings and documents for lodgment, negotiation approvals and Tender for the base building and contract administration during the construction of the base building.
SITE has been involved in other heritage works within the King St Precinct including the adjacent Ackroyd Building Tenancies – Gucci and Watches of Switzerland King St relocation and also providing assistance to Bang & Olufson and Hunt Leather.
